Brasilian Jiu-Jitsu - Theory and Technique Renzo and Royler Gracie, Kid Peligro

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: Theory and techniqueAn essential BJJ reference manual from two of the world’s top practitioners, Renzo and Royler Gracie. The book is large and well produced, with good colour photography and clear explanations. The techniques are the all important basics – this is not an advanced manual  – but, as the authors point out – the key to success in BJJ, as in all martial arts, is getting the basics right before moving on.

The authors have produced many other books on BJJ with slightly different aims, some are more advanced, while others are geared towards MMA, so make sure you read customers reviews before deciding on which to buy. This is a good starting point for a general look at the art of BJJ.
