Red Mist by Geoff Thompson

Red mist

Martin lives alone in a squalid flat, disillusioned and alone, working as a brickie. He meets a woman who is trying to escape from her obsessive boyfriend and brutal tormentor and finds himself sucked into an underworld of drugs and violence to protect her.

There are echoes of Geoff Thompson's gritty autobiography 'Watch My Back' and if you liked that - Red Mist packs a similar punch. The difference is this is fiction, but there's always the question in the back of your mind: how much is fact that couldn't be published in the 'official' autobiography?

Either way, Red Mist is a well-paced thriller that delivers Geoff Thompson's unique blend of spirituality and violence is fine style.
